Nice!  But why not the DECK Francium instead? It's basically a TKL version of the Hassium.....I think.

I just got a Razer black widow ultimate 2013. I needed a keyboard for my laptop because the keyboard on the laptop has some problems. I could have gotten a membrane but i found this for $139 and was like why not get another mech keyboard. I now have 2 mechanical keyboards this and a k70 with reds. I am really enjoying the cherry mx blue keys.

Yeah,  the Fracium is the TKL version of the Hassium.

Well, I'm planning to try out both of them before buying. =)

Nice keyboards dude... Did that Das come like that or did you do something to it because the paint/whatever that is, looks awesome!

thanks! the das is wrapped in carbon fibre vinyl wrap. it was also wrapped matte black previously.

Did you put the ergo-clears in yourself or did someone do it for you?

i put the clears in myself after doing a bit of research online. i had never soldered before.

i used 62g springs and ro-59 to lube the switches.

My Miami key set arrived today, was short of a couple of keys, so I couldn't use them on my full sized keyboard. I decided to use my Keycool 87 which happens to be pure white.....man, the set took a damn long time to get to me. Not a good feeling since it was my first group buy.

A brief update, the Miami GB vendor has offered to send the 'F12' key to me.....that's excellent service!

Wow it took you so long to get the set

when I bought some stuff from bunny, it only took me 2-3 weeks to receive the set

sending stuff to your country must have been faster than to my country!

Bah, the first set he'd sent me got lost somewhere.....that, or a postal worker somewhere has been happily typing away with his ill gotten Miami set. :(  Regardless, this set was sent by BL about a week to two back, I got it rather fast actually. It's a nice looking set and I have no regrets getting it despite the delay, and BL is one great vendor.

Not a good feeling since it was my first group buy.

First of all, those key caps looks awesome, nothing more, nothing less!

So you got it cheap since it was a group buy and where did you bought it from. I've recently been introduced to Massdrop.com which is about getting as many people voting for the same item and then the company will drop the price. That's how I understood it at least.

Bought a couple of things today, a set of SpongeBob PBT key caps, and a set of colored LED covers for my YOTS...

I had an easy time placing the LED covers on the switches of my YOTS, now I have a busy looking multi-colored YOTS....

Nope, a local guy imported some and is selling it at a local forum....not too bad pricewise, $25 local currency for a set of 100 pieces, you can choose from seven colors in sets of 10 pieces each.

Been using my Ducky Year of the Snake for 2 days now! :D

Started out with a Logitech G710+ MX Brown, went on to Corsair K70 MX Red, traded it with a Razer Blackwidow 2013 MX Blue

Now got my hands on a Ducky Year of the Snake with MX Black! :D (Looking for Nordic key-caps)

Hey, I am looking into buying a new keyboard. I have the cm quickfire TKL with blacks but I don't really like them. My hands hurt after long use.

I was really intrigued by the look of the K70 keyboard. So why did you trade it in? Did you not like the red switches? I am trying to decide what the right switches will be for me. Unfortunately I cannot test out different keyboards in my neighbourhood. So far I am am thinking of a ducky shine 3 with red blue or brown or a k70 with red blue or brown.

The K70 itself is my favorite except for my Ducky YotS,

I didn't like MX Red, too light. I couldn't double-tap keys all the time because sometimes I wouldn't have lifted my finger far enough. With heavier keys it will be easier.

Browns, Blues and Blacks are good IMO. My favorites are the Brown and Black

For how long have you been using the CM QuickFire TKL with blacks. If you switched to that from a membrane keyboard a few weeks ago it could take some more time for your fingers, hands and arms to get used to it. Maybe using muscles in a different way, sounds odd but with no more info other than your hands hurt after long use it's hard to tell what it could be. When you say "long use" how long are we talking?

If you feel like you need a lighter switch you should probably look for a keyboard with Cherry MX Red og Brown

What do you think of the build quality and keycap quality of the ducky shine 3 (yots is aluminium no?) vs k70? Can't go wrong with either I suppose.

I purchased it together with the components for my first build back in april. So about 6 months of usage so far. I must say I haven't typed any longer essays than forum posts. And I cannot type with 10 fingers(shame on me) so that could be part of the problem. I have fairly small hands too. During gaming the blacks are fine though. I just want to try something else :P I would love a keyboard of each of the switch. Maybe I should try reds first then since they are like blacks but somewhat softer. Would it be too soft?

K70 is Aluminum body like the Ducky YotS. Build quality on both are excellent, don't think any of them are superior. But Ducky Shine 3 is plastic. But don't let that stop you. Shine 3 has excellent build quality, I would put it on equal terms of the Logitech G710+. You can check out the unboxing on Linus' YT channel.

Only thing I don't like are the MX reds K70, but you should be able to get Browns or any other

EDIT:

I think that Ducky have better keycap quality, but K70 is not bad.

Just got a K70 with blue switches for my birthday and have been loving it since.  Chose blues because from what I felt at Best Buy the blue click noise mechanism seemed to offer a more noticeable tactile bump than browns, and the K70 for dedicated media keys(no function key nonsense).  I do miss my G510's g keys, but I can deal, and only really used it for an extra arrow pad on(easier to do vlc skip shortcuts on the left side) and swapping between tabs(ctrl + tab/ctrl + shift + tab).  Only thing I ever used that LCD for often was to see what's playing in foobar2k which the on screen display component isn't nearly as nice.  If there's one thing I'd really love, it would be the ability to bind the volume wheel to work within a program like the for the volume in foobar2k(not the windows mixer volume), but I have no clue what that would take...surely some monkeying with drivers and probably a foobar component.

On another note I do have to say I disagree with those who say blues suck for gaming, unless you need ridiculous rapid key pressing all the time.

I don't recall anyone saying that here, but have seen posts in other forums to that effect. It's similar to those saying Reds are best because it's a 'gaming' switch (Gaming keyboard makers would like you to believe that though).....that's poppycock! It really depends on the personal preference of the users. I myself game with Red, Black, Brown, Blue, Green and Clear, and the game I use to test these various switch types on is UT3......I fare about as well with any of the switch type I use, Heck, I fare about as well using Topre and Buckling Spring.....

I haven't either, and didn't mean to imply it in any way, but like you I have seen many posts elsewhere that people have said it or claimed so.  Also glad to see another UT3 player out there, though I don't play often mostly because of how dead the game has become.  I would also agree that it shouldn't matter what the switch is, it's just personal preference if anything, and any companies that advertise otherwise is just bollocks.
