Long time on the forum; I have been looking at GPU's and I was considering getting a 4070 Super. Steam BIO has all updated specs .

I need to know if what I am using (minus the 3060) would require a new PSU

Gaming Rig:

Ryzen 7 7800x3D -30 Curve  | Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE  |  ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER Twin Edge OC 12GB  | Patriot Viper Venom 16GB CL30 6000mhz  |  ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI  | WD Blue SN550 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD, 2TB Samsung 870 EVO, 1TB Samsung 870 EVO, 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD | Corsair 4000D Airflow  | Corsair RM850x Gold Series

From pure advertised capacity of the PSU (650W), I would say it's more than sufficient to power RTX 4070 GPU

But, I would advise if your PSU is more than 5 years old (especially on the budget bronze rating PSU), it would be better if you could replace or upgrade to a nicer one so that the PSU could be use for the next 7 or even 10 years to come

Because replacing PSU is a huge hassle, you will have to replace all of the power cables connected to your PC parts, generally I would suggest to use nicer PSU so that you won't have to replace it every 3-5 years

My System: Ryzen 7800X3D // Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX // 32GB 6000MHz DDR5 Silicon Power Zenith CL30 // Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT OC with mod heatsink on the metal plate  // Phanteks P300A  // Gigabyte Aorus GEN4 7300 PCIE 4.0 NVME // Kingston NV2 Gen4 PCIE 4.0 NVME //

Seasonic Focus GX-850 Fully Modular // Thermalright Frost Spirit 140 Black V3 // Phanteks M25 140mm // Display: Bezel 32MD845 V2 QHD // Keychron K8 Pro (Mod: Gateron black box ink; Tape mode on PCB and Keycaps) // Razer Cobra Wired Mouse // Audio Technica M50X Headphone // Sennheiser HD 650 // Genius SP-HF180 USB Speaker //

And Laptop Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45 for mobility

Phone:

iPhone 11 (with battery replaced instead of buying new phone for long term and not submitting (fully) to Apple Lord

I see, as far as I know, Corsair offer 5 years of warranty (which sometimes translate to their confidence of their PSU material quality and QC)

So it should be capable to power your new upgrade for at least 2 years to come or until you're doing overhaul / new PC build

With that in mind; in the fall I will expect to order a 4070 Super
