7800X3D temps

Hey all I finally got my entire upgrade minus the gpu thank you everyone who gave me advice. I just have a question about the idle temps for the cpu and what they should be my cooler is a be quiet pure rock 2 and my idle temps range from mid 40s all the way to high 60s is that normal or should I get a brand new cooler?

That's normal. Idle temps also depend on your room temps. but 40c is normal for idle.

Alright and when I’m using some apps like brave steam discord whatnot that’s when it shoots up

My room is typically 60s to high 70s Fahrenheit depending on the time of year

seeing 60c while using light apps is normal. Just do a benchmark with CPU-Z, and cinebench and if your temps are in line with other online temps you see then you're good.

Nothing seems out of place there. However you're learning nothing about your cooling solution effectiveness by looking at idle temps (we have to repeat this 10's of times a day). 

 

HWiNFO and Cinebench multicore and then watch temps.
