Which GPU Will Do The Job?

AsrielDreemurr

I have a list below of things I do. I need a gpu that will go nicely with a stock 4790k from intel. Amd and Nvidia gpu's are Both allowed. Price limit is (USD) $500. This card has to power two 1600x900 monitors. (only gaming on one, keep in mind). This card has to last 2+ years. So I need a good card ;3;

- the things I'll be doing are the following:

- Minecraft (Seus Ultra Shaders and/or 150+ Modded Minecraft (recording 1080p 60fps)

- Blockade 3d (recording 1080p 60fps)

- Geometry Dash (recording 1080p 60fps)

- Terraria (recording 1080p 60fps)

- TF 2 (recording 1080p 60fps)

- Undertale (recording 1080p 60fps)

- Roblox (recording 1080p 60fps)

- Unturned (recording 1080p 60fps)

- 2d/3d Rendering: Blender, Cyberlink powerdirector 14 ultra, paint.net with plugins

- GTA V (recording 1080p 60fps)

If you play Geometry Dash, would you take the time to rate this demon? 14986973 ;3;

A 970 could be the right Thing since shadowplay is a nice recording Software that Comes with every NVIDIA GPU and won't affect Performance, AMD wise the 380x should be fine as well.

CPU: Xeon 1230v3 - GPU: GTX 770  - SSD: 120GB 840 Evo - HDD: WD Blue 1TB - RAM: Ballistix 8GB - Case: CM N400 - PSU: CX 600M - Cooling: Cooler Master 212 Evo

500 USD?

That should be like GTX 980 maybe barely or R9 390X. If GTX 980 doesn't fit your budget but you still need Nvidia only things (like Shadowplay or CUDA rendering) you can look at the GTX 970 too

Why 970 when R9 390X is still in the $500 price range and has like so much better performance

I would go for a nice 970 (Such as the G1 gaming one I have) would last you just fine

Often better, there's quick sync (At least I think that's what it's called), and you can choose any GPU.

Shadowplay won't record everything, for example it doesn't record Undertale.

Another Option is an R9 Fury, it slightly bests the GTX 980 at stock settings, or if you're into Overclocking, I have seen the GTX 980 Kingping for $500 flat.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

what m8

!

He was telling that the Included feature (shadowplay) is like a big thing that can be done only with the nvidia cards.

But there are other cheap options like OBS.

That's why I used iPhone Flashlight reference.

Flashlight can be seen even in $20 phone.
