Thanks for those screen shots. I look forward to playing the game in the future.  I still don't have a ship yet and am wondering if I don't buy in before the game comes out do I miss out on something ?

A 6870, but I only had it on high settings.. ( It's a beast FTP power wise, but it only has a Gig of VRAM.. )

At this point, I don't really think so, except for a few ships that you can only buy before it comes out. The only advantage you had before was free lifetime insurance on your ships for buying it before a certain time.  ( This is all what I think it is, so it might not be completely 100% )

They look nice, almost like they aren't in game. Pretty low fps. Nice to see a demanding game. But it is pre-alpha still so optimization isn't even being put on the table yet.

It definitely looks amazing, and I can't imagine what Very High looks like. I couldn't run it like that without it having too low of frame rate, but my system isn't really a beast either. I am curious how it will run in a final form though. ( I can't imagine Alpha will be a whole lot better, but still probably a bit )

I think so. I mean each million that gets reached now seems to have some kind of exclusive item just for backers that back the game before the strech goal is reached. Although I know that Chris doesn't want to make the game P2W so I am guessing that nearly all of the "exclusive" items will be avaliable in game with in game curency or just gameplay. 

 

That being said you will be missing out on things like the Hanger Module, Dog Fighting Alpha, credit and ship boost, as well as some other nice things:D

Would you, or anyone else with a Beast System, mind recording a walkthrough of you exploring the hangar module? You could then upload it to YouTube or wherever. Some of the forum members who don't have access to the hangar module can then see the sweet graphics and what it's like for "one of us" to just explore and poke around. Commentary would be totally optional and up to you.

Yep, I use fraps for everything, even if it does murder performance when you record. ( I stuck to screen shots so I could still run it on high )
