lost interest in movies? so what? how about go hiking in some nice place, look at the beautiful nature all around us. do something different, why would you need to watch movies if you dont want to?

Go watch the Force Awakens. You will predict most of the plot, find it repetitive and boring. If you are a Star Wars fan (like me) then go watch it, but keep your expectations low. The movie is overhyped and it should have 6/10 on IMDB. :)

Ben Dover I live in the mountains by the way, had enough of that haha. Usually I like any good movie I can watch.

well my point is that why is it a problem? its not like someone who stopped smoking asks how can i start liking it again(well ok that would happen very easily), i see no problem in you not wanting to watch movies. what do you want to do, how about do that?

Well, I am looking forward to the ep 8 and 9 but this one was Death Star all over again just on a larger scale. It felt like:"Wait, I've seen this before!" :D

The acting from the old school crew was great, not sure how I feel about the new actors though. If it wasn't for the nostalgia feeling and excitement for a movie from my childhood, I would find it barely bearable. Mediocre at best. :)

I'm a fan, I found the plot somewhat predictable, and still loved every freaking minute of it.

 

Maybe it's because of Phantom Menace syndrome, or maybe it's because it was just freaking good. I'd go see it again.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

Don't get me wrong, I will see it again at home in a few months (whenever it's available). Part of the experience was ruined by the people in the cinema. I felt like a kid at some points, but as I said, I'm a fan and biased, it had me excited because of the acting crew and all that.

 

But view it from a point of someone who hasn't seen any of the series or read the plot/watched a 10 minute youtube video explaining it (like my friend did) and it sounds and feels repetitive and is somewhat disappointing to someone who is not a hardcore fan. :)

I went in expecting it to be bad, but I absolutely loved it. Even though it was kind of predictable I thoroughly enjoyed it

i also recommend mindfuck movie list(s). often if you stick to top titles you will be alright with choice.

i also recommend war documentaries ( on youtube ) . Restrepo, Armadillo, Ross kemp in Afganistan,... intense stuff

 

maybe i remember more what i recommend :P

Most movies aren't great at the moment, and haven't been for years. They only put their money in to well proven ideas, and consequently everything ends up samey and predictable, albeit with shinier special effects. That's probably why you're bored of them, you've seen the same three films 30 or 40 times, just with different titles.

 

You'll see the force awakens anyway though, soon or later, we all will. All of us. All.
