Pretty hot deal today on a mid ranged desktop for a budget level  price point after coupon at Staples. Core i5 4th gen CPU, 8GB RAM, 1TB hard drive for $300.... I'd recommend it to a friend who isn't much into computing.

Thank you for posting this. My Mom needed a new pc and I wanted to get me an i5 so this works out great. I'll swap the i3 in my pc with the i5 from the dell. I get my upgrade and she gets a new pc. Thats what I call a win win :)

350watt Delta I believe, dell is usually good about using high quality power supply's but they are usually low wattage. I would expect 1x PCIe power connector but would still recommend a new PSU for a GPU upgrade if it requires more than a 300watt PSU.

EVGA is your friend and for the price ($30 for the 430watt, $40 for the 500watt) you can't go wrong

processor alone sells for $180

 

add an R9 380X for $210 and you're in business!

Except the PSU will be garbage and so will the hard drive and motherboard and cooling of it. Yeah I would just buy used if you wanted to game.

processor alone sells for $180

 

add an R9 380X for $210 and you're in business!

 

Not on that case and PSU which are likely shit. Though I do agree it's still an excellent deal just to get the 4460 and ram off it, perhaps even the mobo though I bet is also not standard ATX so not usable elsewhere.

Clicked the link and it's saying it has an i3 in it.

I noticed that, too. However, Intel's website says the 4460 is an i5.

People keep talking about upgrading it. Even with an i5, by the time it has a new power supply and video card, some one might as well have built a better computer from scratch.
