The jump is actually fairly large. I'd say the 960 is the start of the gaming cards, while the 950 is pretty weak.

If you could stretch your budget and get the 380, that would be a lot better.

The 960 is way better than the 950, especially if you get the 4gb model.

950 is better value but if you can afford a 960 then you can afford the superior R9 380!
