New Desk Build Update Thingy - I have a new desk!

iamdarkyoshi

My old setup with a beat up kitchen table was not cutting it. So thanks to my dad, we went to the hardware store and bought some PVC, a sheet of really nice pre-sanded plywood, a strip of trim for the edge, and some black stain. Houses are being build in our area so free 2x4 scraps are aplenty, as well as chipboard... Did not take too many images, but here it is without the stain:

And here it is as a finished desk.

The desk is 128in long, the same length as the wall where it lives. This was a load of fun getting upstairs, and by "a load of fun" I mean lots of black marks on the white walls. Oh well, they needed paint anyway xD

Still waiting on my three monitors,  LG/Massdrop...

I will post updates here every time I do something major, such as build my upside down 'T' monitor stand or something. What do you guys think about it?

Underneath are two 2x4 beams, and if sag becomes an issue, I will add a leg in the middle that rests on the subwoofer.

Cable management is not a concern now, because I am going to redo everything soon. Couldnt even find screws to mount the power strip.

Edit: the desk supports my weight, so I think it is sturdy enough. It is wedged between the walls, so side to side motion is not an issue

My old kindle fire with a broken USB jack. I hardwired a USB cable to the solder pads. It is a pandora player now.

I am not made of money! It is three 144hz 1080p monitors. No way in hell a 390x would run triple ultrawides very well. Or three 144hz 1080p panels...
