Tech Gifts for Non-techies Giveaway!

This year, I would buy my grandfather who works mostly from home an Dell S2415H 24 inch monitor because right now he's running on an ancient 4:3 Dell monitor he bought in a bundle with the inspiration 530 he bought in 2007. My runner-up would definitely be the Sennheiser hd 598s for my uncle who has apple ear buds as a music producer.

zBoost Dual Band Cell Phone Signal Booster for Dad

I would love to be able to get my dad a cell phone signal booster. I'm currently in college and only get to go home every few months. Any time I want to call home or he wants to call me he has to actually drive down the road a ways to get a good enough signal to maintain a phone call. It's really frustrating at times, especially when it's cold outside. The signal booster would allow him to stay at home and use his cell phone.

http://www.amazon.com/MX279H-1920x1080-AH-IPS-Back-lit-Monitor/dp/B00B17C5KO/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1449877152&sr=1-5&keywords=4k+monitor

I would like to buy this monitor for my grandpa..i've already set him up a pc in his garage where he does most of his work.. I have set it up so he just pushes the power button, the computer starts and launches chrome and a radio website so music starts playing asap. But he has a really small monitor and doesnt see very good, so a monitor like this would come in handy to use even without glasses since its so big haha :)

Good luck everyone and happy holidays!!

And greetings from slovenia!

I would like to give my friend Katherine a new computer

I was thinking of giving her the Asus X551MA or anything with similar or better specs than this laptop. She doesn't need a "High-Grade Computer with NVIDIA GTX 980" (Though I would) but anything that can help her with School work and Computer Programming. I would like her to help with computer programming. She has been a good friend to me I want to give her something for Christmas.

I plan on gifting a Rubik's Futuro Cube to my little cousine.

She wanted to have a standard Rubik's Cube for Christmas and I thought to step it up a notch and give her this.

There is sadly no amazon link for it, hope that'll do as well.

A BenQ XL2411Z monitor for my dear cousin. He built a gaming PC not so long ago, and he made the mistake of spending too much money on his components, leaving not a lot of money for his displays. He is using an old monitor from 2005 I believe, and I think the response time on that is ~7ms. Any PC gamers would know anything above 5ms is a struggle.

Cheers.

A New 3DS XL for my Dad would be nice for him. He liked to play games like Mario and Animal Crossing when his was a kid, and I thought it would be a good idea to get him something so he can enjoy some of these games again. I would just get him a 3DS XL, but I have the fear of him wanting a game on it and it being a New 3DS exclusive. Here's the Amazon Link - > http://www.amazon.com/New-Nintendo-3DS-XL-Black/dp/B00S1LRX3W/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1449883071&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=New+3DS+XL

My mom has been really wanting to watch apple itunes video that she has purchased easily on her TV and while there are hacks around getting an appletv it really needs to be an easy solution. I'm talking about parents that cant even figure out how to use an old Harmony universal remote after I have tried to show them multiple times. One of the new Apple tvs would be great for her and the added function of the games apps would be something fun for my mom but also for her adopted daughter. Will dad get anything out of it? Probably not but good news on that front is that he is able to at least browse the internet by himself now!

Love your videos guys, Keep up the great work.

For my cousin who cannot get anything this Christmas because a fire burned down their house. Getting this graphics card will help him a lot when he builds a new computer again.

But, since They don't even have android phones i would have to give them one first.

For this i chose a tablet, it's on the afordable side, and with a confirtable size, just enougth for them to enter the Netflix world.

I would get an iPad Mini 2 for one of my friends. Right now, he doesn't really have any thing besides an old computer to do a few things on the web and to play a couple games that barely work. I could show him how to use it and be able to even play a couple games with him. He could download Netflix and be able to watch movies and T.V. Shows whenever he wants to.

Thanks LTT! Good luck to everyone!

- Amazon Gift Card - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004LLIKVU/gcrnsts?ie=UTF8&keywords=amazon%20gift%20card&qid=1449878868&ref_=sr_1_1&s=gift-cards&sr=1-1

- I choose my parents and close friends. I can use the card to buy multiple gifts. I'll probably use it to buy my dad a decent smartphone since he has a flip phone. I'll most likely get my friend or my young cousin a new pc part to build him a gaming computer by myself. There are a lot of small gifts that I want to gift to everyone in my family and although I don't celebrate Christmas, I think I might start to if I do actually recieve a gift from one of you guys. To be honest, I want to spend some of it for myself since I don't have a job and just finished this semester in college so I'm broke. I've been stuck never ever able to use or own a laptop in college, but they're so overpriced yet don't want a cheap one because I want a gaming laptop in the future one day. I should just be saving my money, but I feel so miserable everyday when I see everybody else with all the fancy stuff in school or outside.

-Although I know this is for non-techies and that it has to be a "tech" gift, but if its $300. I think it's a better idea to go the extra mile and have myself look for things to buy that is more affordable for everyone else, because I feel that smaller gifts for more people is way better than like a 150$ phone for only my dad and not being able to share it with anyone else. I believe that it's more fun and more value when you can go through the effort like building a computer than to buy a premade one.

Thank you Linus, and the LMGStaff for the giveaways.

Although I don't celebrate Christmas, I do wish you all happy holidays!

Hey! I think I am going to ask for a Sony surround sound system for my Mom. She has a hard time hearing the TV and does not think it is worth it to get a surround system. It is on sale for $248.00 currently on Amazon and it's normal price is $299.99. You can find it here on Amazon. Thanks for this awesome giveaway and the best of luck to all the contestants!

For my sister and her husband:

http://smile.amazon.com/Chromebook-10-1-Inch-Convertible-Touchscreen-Rockchip/dp/B00ZS4HK0Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1449887576&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+chromebook+flip

Neither are tech savvy. And he keeps getting malware on their shared laptop. With a chromebook he could use the internet more safely and I could save some time fixing things.

Give it to my mum so I can either help her build a pc in it, or build one for her in it so she isn't stuck with only her garbage laptop.

I would have to gift an SSD to my mom for her laptop. She doesn't do that many CPU/GPU intensive tasks, so all of the hardware in her laptop is perfectly fine for her right now, except her HDD. It is pretty slow, and it can be frustrating how long it takes to load, especially for her, as I have a little more patience with these thing.

Plus, this will give me a good excuse to reinstall Windows on her laptop :) - she has so many unnecessary things on there. It kills me.

And, if it would be possible to get this SATA III to USB adapter with it using the residual money after the SSD, that would make things a whole lot easier!

Thanks for the giveaway, LTT!
