My grandparents, I would give them a router + a moto g becuase they are still using ONE flipphone and they don't WiFi yet. I live in holland it's not like wifi is a special thing :P

So i would give my parents a new tv but they say "no this we have (old huge tv) works just fine" so that idea is not that good.

My brother works as a videographer and film editor, and despite being very well versed in the software side of things he's woefully uninformed when it comes to hardware. He'd never even heard of NAS or UPS units, and living in a house with metered electricity means that there are plenty of occasions where he'll lose progress on projects because no one remembered to top up the meter. 

 

That's why I'd like to get him this UPS, to at least ensure he doesn't lose work needlessly.

Believe me, idc how bad your parents are, I had to call my network "Mom click here for Internet" just to be able to play a match of league of legends without an interruption.

I would buy my Parents anything that I can for under 300$, the only thing I would care about, is that it is easy to use, cause as I said, my parents are really bad at using modern technology.

 

If I would have to decide for something I would take a easy to use streaming box, or in general something that can play Netflix, cause they love watching many series. You wanted us to tell a story, so here goes:

 

Just a month ago my mom, having worked for 25 years, retired and me and my sis went "Home" to visit her, grandpa and grandma(We're in college so we live in another city). And she wanted to spend some time with us. I told her we should play a Co-op game, she agreed, so did my sis(she doesn't like games much). I thought Trine will do(3 player coop you know). She liked it very much and wanted to play through the whole campaign with us. We couldn't be happier. But now we have to go back to college and she doesn't own a PS4 and i'm taking mine back with me. So we decided to buy one and for her and then i saw the video. We live in Peru btw.

I would like to give my Parents a Nexus 7 for Christmas, because every time he wants to watch a YouTube videos on our smart TV I have to cast it from my phone, or have to use Samsung's ridiculous OS to navigate to YouTube, and type one letter at a time.  "|

I'd love to make my moms dream come true and get her a camera, but as she doesn't get along with PC's very well i need too look for something simplyer. Mainly she knows how to use a camera but getting her to know what cables to connect where and what to press where is a nightmare. So i'd expect her to understand how to get photos to tablet through wifi more easily with this

I want to get my mum a Laptop or a 2 in 1 but never have the money so i would get it for her to prevent her having to use our old Athlon XP 2000+ WinXP computer.

A Sapphire Radeon R9 380x for my little brother since he's currently gaming on an Xbox 360 and I would like to introduce him to the PC gaming community(and better fps or graphics). At the time of this post it is $261.51. He currently has a prebuilt pc from Asus that is hampered by an underpowered GPU and seems to want to learn more about PC gaming despite not knowing much about computers AT ALL.

I would get my girlfriend a Chromecast. i taught her how to use mine over the summer and she fell in love with it and how easy it was for her to stream from her iPhone, i wanna get her it as a gift because i think it makes a fantastic bang for buck gift for any smartphone, or basic computer user. Amazon does not sell the Chromecast.... Cause of politics....  Here is the Amazon Fire Stick for a similar Amazon friendly option ( BUTTTTT i personally believe chrome-cast is superior in every way for multipurpose use, making it easy to use, but surprisingly deep if you want to really nerd out with it)

I would give polaroid camera to my mother on my grandmother. Printing pictures is so out of fashion, but its priceless when my mother or someone else could take a picture of their grandson/douther and tape it onto wall in a matter of seconds.
