My dad is currently using a 2nd generation ipad he got it it as a present from my mom during his birthday. Now it's sorta out of date and its got a few scratches and it laggy and all of that stuff. if i were given an opportunity to show my dad appreciation for all he's done with the family, i would give him an Ipad air 2. It's where he uses his leisure time to talk with friends check email and stuff since he's not into laptops nor android devices. But the 64 gb model costs more than 300 dollars. so maybe 16 gb model would do or maybe a fresh new ipod touch 6th gen 64 gb that i think still fits 300 if the price range is to be followed. It would really mean a lot + i don't have a present for him yet lol

I would give my mom an Acer Chromebook, because she is using an 11 year old laptop. She just checks her email, Facebook, reads the news, and that kind of thing, so I thought that a Chromebook would perfectly suit her needs.

One Day  I was watching linus's review on LOGITECH G910 and he saw that keyboard and said OHHH GEEE... look at that keyboard .

To be honest he dont even know that LED are used on Keyboard and mechanical keyboard can improve his typing EXPERIENCE.

Cuz he is a fast typist but held back by that useless keyboard .If he gets it his will be top of the hill in terms of JOY

 

so i Kindly request u to choose me and sent any mechanical keyboard with Mouse with LEDs . I live in INDIA Country ,

i would prefer

Why? Because I think that it will help her with these two issues:

 

  1. Finding a place to store all the books that she reads is becoming a problem for a small apartment.
  2. Moving around in public transport with a bulky (heavy) book is quite an annoying.

My wife's PC is basically a barely functioning pile of my hand me down parts.

 

Her case is an antec 300 (the original) which has been through many "builds".

 

I was watching Kyles white build the other day and she saw the case and freaked out.

 

Since she is a female, she clearly cares more about how "pretty" the outside is.

Please help me convince her that I "bought" her a "new" computer.

 I want give my mother speaker 2.1 for her house because now she just playing with cheapo speaker 2.1 for living room she just buy cheapo 2.1 and 5.1 speaker for her living room and setup. I think my mom will be happy if I give holiday/merry Christmas present

I need a better router for my home for media streaming and better connectivity. I recently setup an FTP server on home PC for streaming movies and music. My mum and dad love old bollywood music and movies. Also speed and signal reception sucks on current router.

So, this year, we decided to put together a fun little giveaway for all of the techies in our audience... the chance to give mom, or grandma, or WHOEVER in your life that isn't a techie a tech-focused gift for the holiday!

- In your comment, tell us WHO you have chosen to potentially receive that gift (mom, grandma, neighbor, etc.)

I am planning to buy my brother a graphics card (gtx 960) as he has inadvertently bought him self a second hand workstation (just for work) that will run most titles pretty sweet, as I am completely sick to death of hearing him complain about his PS3!!! that's correct a PS3, I am trying to get him to step away from consoles come to the darkside. Well what I have bought in the past for non techies was a Logitech harmony remote.

These are great for your parents/grandparents. Anybody that has home theater system with multiple remote can be replaced by this one remote. I have installed multiple of these throughout my family. Never get phone calls for home theater related problems.
