dont shave your crotch unless you want to itch it every five seconds or shave it daily

It's fine once you do it a couple of times. Now shaving your ass, Jesus that sucks the first time.

I also have the proglide, it works well but tends to burn through razor heads pretty quickly...

This is just my experience but, might help you...

I always shave after taking a shower for the reasons above, it's just easier.

I never use shaving cream, I always find that it gives me razor burn where as just a wet shave using water cuts just as close without the burn.

I sometimes go from the side if my razors is a bit dull and pulls too hard. I've never had issues cutting myself but, that's just my experience.

If you have aftershave you can then use that, It doesn't really do too much but feels and smells nice.

This is one of those things that you just have to dive in...

I don't really think there actually is anything special to it.. The first time I shaved I just bought a cheap throw-away razor, and some shaving cream, then proceeded to shave without any problems then, or anytime since.

What are you, a girl? Supple? A man shaves dry...no shaving  cream, no nothing and you go against the grain.

Have a shower before shaving because it makes the skin nice and supple.

Apply shaving cream (you probably wont need a lot if its your first time)

Fill the sink with warm/hot water (if you use cold your skin will tighten)

1. You want to take the shaver and just sort of run it across your face top to bottom (do not do it side to side because it will cut you)

2. As you go dip your shaver in the water to get rid of the hair/cream

Repeat 1 & 2 until your done, wash your face off with warm water and press a towel to your face until clean (do not wipe you will aggrevate your skin)

If you have any moisturiser for your skin then put some on, it will help repair your skin.

I just shave without shaving cream, it's neato!

Shaving gel is what is needed. Way better than shaving cream.

Ah my first shaving experience. Ill never forget it. Shaving that peach fuzz made the skin so smooth. Now I don't shave because ladies love a man with facial hair that is photoshopped onto your baby face because you aren't very good at growing facial hair. zach galifianakis beard is beautiful.

It's not that hard to be honest. I just lie on my back and use a mirror.

I'm probably going to buy an epilator soon, just so I can get a cleaner shave and don't have to do it as often.

Do you actually need to shave or do you just want to? Also why would you dad be mad that you want to shave?

My advice would be to not shave if you don’t actually need to. I started shaving when I was about 16 and now (aged 19) I shave every day.

Ps The Gillette Fusion, good choice :) but they rape you in terms of the cost of the razor blades. Also if you ignore what i said and shave despite not needing to just make sure you use water and shaving gel/foam. It is called a wet shave for a reason, if your skin is dry you will get cut (at least when you start out).

Make sure you use a good shaving cream and after shave too. Make sure to use long slow strokes like how a barber would do it rather than short fast strokes. Rinse off the hair every stroke then shake the water off and repeat. Expect the first time to be a bit difficult and ma take some time but this will change when you get the hang of it.
