Fallout 4 content and shit.

centurion_08

I am about 10h into the game and holy crap, THIS GAME IS HUGE.

There's so much shit to do i can safely say: fuck off to all my games and social life.

Since i'm a completionist type-o, i'll drop at least 500h into this.

Building up the sanctuary will take forever, but man i have some sick ideas for settlements.

Othere than that, the game has some flaws but i can live with them and hope patches/updates will adress them.

Back to playing.

Yeah good luck trying to complete the game with the mods...I haven't even gotten through a quarter of the mods in both fallout 3 and new vegas yet :P

I am in the same boat after I dumbed down the graphics due to me getting motion sick from the game I am ecstatic even with the bugs to play this game for hrs. this game is like post  apocalyptic Sims kinda.

plus with mods i think fallout 4 will last quite a while, in spite of the negativity surrounding the game.

not gonna put this game down, honestly. fallout is fallout

I mean fallout 3's story also sucked, I feel like new vegas did it right, aka don't even pretend you have a story just let the player kill everyone if they want (except yesman who revives)

I find the story to be quite good for a Bethesda game. Much better than New Vegas's and Skyrim's. As well as Oblivion's.

I feel like I still enjoyed Fallout 3 more than I am with Fallout 4.

I guess its subjective to peoples thoughts, but personally I feel like Fallout 4 is still the weakest of all those listed. I might just wait for Skywind to be properly released hehe so I can re-live the good ole glory days of Morrowind in Skyrim graphics :)

Is there any way to fix this without going down in graphics?

I am waiting to pick up fallout 4 after good mods come out. I want a better dialog system then what I've seen so far and read. Along with some texture updates and the such. :)

The games main story is pretty short and it has like half the amount of side quests New Vegas had.

I pretty much completed every quest within the first 5 days, and this was without checking the wiki, which I eventually checked when I was struggling to find new content and to my surprise had done nearly everything.

Have you played through the story, or just going off of what happens in the beginning and reading random people's opinions on the game? I actually just finished the main quest. I gotta say, it's 100x better than Fallout 3 and Skyrim. It's a mix of Fallout 3's simplicity and Fallout: New Vegas's complexity and I'm very happy with the story that I'm about to start a second play-through, and then a third, maybe a fourth for pure min-maxing.

Oh and I'm at about 75 hours played currently.

I find the story to be quite good for a Bethesda game. Much better than New Vegas's and Skyrim's.

It's not as complex as New Vegas's, it's a bit more toned down, but definitely better than Skyrim's and Fallout 3's.

What exactly does it change? Also does it add any kind of concequences to your words?

It actually shows what you're going to say instead of yes, no, sarcasm, etc.

And what do you mean by consequences?

Like if you offended someone or something. Theyd stop talking to you, things like that. Like your words actually had some action in the game as a result of the conversation lmao

Hey, to each their own! I have hundreds of hours into Fallout 3, but New Vegas did not catch my interest at all. I think Fallout 4 is a very good middle ground, not too simple and not too complex.

Maybe I'm still a little salty that I finished Fallout 3 before Broken Steel came out and couldn't continue playing, but hey, whatever lol.

No, but as far as I know this has never been a feature in a Bethesda game so it isn't exactly something I'm missing or wanting.

What you say will sometimes influence where you stand with your follower, but assuming you have the game you probably already knew that.

And besides. The current conversation system can get pretty interesting anyway

Bethesda games are good for stuff like that. I'm about 1300 hours into Skyrim with mods, and haven't even gotten close to doing everything.

1300 hours.

1300.

The lesser half of the Greatest Dudes in Video Games, Greg Miller, put it best - "For Bethesda it's not about the ending, but the journey getting there"

Didn't finished the main story yet but if its similar to previous Bethesda games, I'm not expecting a shocker or emotional ending. But if I enjoy the +100 hours getting to it, than it was worth it.

I spent the first 24hrs building settlements and would have kept going if it wasn't for an annoying bug saying I'm always short on resources (still no perm fix for it if you have it to :/). Since I'm waiting for a solution I am going back to exploring and missions.
