EVGA Hybrids/MSI Sea Hawks.

They are both watercooled, so you wont have any of the temps issues (the top card tends to run way hotter and sometimes throttles) that come with SLIing two cards.

If you plan on overclocking, going with something from EVGA might be a good idea because their customer support is awesome(I hear) and they cover overclocking if you break your card.

The question pretty much says everything. What would you get and why?

I'd most likely get either two K|NGP|N cards, or two of the Gigabyte G1 Gaming cards. (Then plasti-dip the white so it's black or blue.)

K|NGP|N because it's a fucking epic card, and G1 Gaming because I have a GTX 970 G1 Gaming and it's amazing, I'd expect the 980ti g1 gaming to be as good, if not better in terms of the cooler and noise levels.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

I'd buy another hybrid because I have mine sitting at 1503mhz and no warmer than 50C with silence :-)

When in SLI, blower style cards, which are typically reference design cards. This should keep the card temps as low as possible vs aftermarket designs. That is the only regret I have with my X99 build, is not installing reference blower style cards.

When I upgrade my cards, very likely to the 980Ti's, I will use reference cards.
