PSN support is horrible. Your thoughts and experiences?

So, my psn account got suspended for a month cause of "pornographic content". I had a picture of Drake's face as my profile pic.

Me (11/4/2015, 6:28:21 PM): anyway that you can fix that? My profile picture was not pornograpic in anyway. it was a picture of a rapper named drake. and it only included his face.

Michael (11/4/2015, 6:31:30 PM): I apologize but there is nothing we can do about your suspension. I would advise you to check your email which will have more information about the suspension.
Me (11/4/2015, 6:32:25 PM): there is obviously  something you can do in this regard. I would not want to take no for an answer.
Me (11/4/2015, 6:33:31 PM): the report was obviously not legitimate in any way. I didn't know faces counted as nudity in north america.

As you see, support is worthless. sony should at least view the stuff that they actually ban. Anybody have a similar experience dealing with incompetent customer service?

Rockstar is pretty shit at what they do, though my GTA V ban is justified so that's on me.

 

Honestly, I haven't had a legitimately bad customer service experience (except for when Microsoft said they would ship me a new Xbox One controller since my current one has D-pad issues. When I recieved the box, it contained an Xbox One controller battery door and nothing else.)

 

EDIT: Oh yeah, there's that time my G2A copy of CS:GO went bad and they deleted my messages on their site with the customer service agent. I had to go through PayPal to get my money back, and that's the story of why G2A isn't getting my business any longer.

I had account issues with them years ago, they were worthless. Then the PSN hack happend, and they were even more fucking worthless. Sony doesn't care, at all, not even a little bit.

Its not their incompetence or their bad customer service. If you are banned thats it. However if it was a false perma ban then they couldve removed it. 

Did you not read the chat log? I'm suspended for a month.

Don't have any experiences with PSN but they sound like they are just as useful as Comcast support.

I'm planning to build a pc, but that's not gonna happen for at least another month cause I need to buy all of my parts when they go on sale after american thanksgiving and on boxing day. I can't wait tho.

Yeah, it's pretty shitty that you got falsely suspended. I mean, you had a picture of Drake as your avatar. They should be able to goddamn recognise that.

But at the same time...it's a month, and it's not a permaban. Granted, you didn't do anything wrong and you shouldn't even have to deal with it, but I guess you may well have to grin and bear it.

It still better than Xbox :P Xbox doesn't even respond. If and when they do it's usually a week later or they say call us and then you call just to get hung up on like 15 minutes later.

Email support? Those take forever, just use the live chat. I used it not long ago and it worked fine. They were helpful but alas my problem was never fixed.

But it's mostly due to how stupid there system is..

I swear after the incident in 2011 they just went downhill after that. I swear to god sometimes their service feels like its only being run by a raspberry pi in someones basement, with all of their service interruptions, and then this, im honestly really considering just selling the thing and building a rig. The console itself isnt bad other than the hdd space, but damn the online service is terrible. I didnt play last gen but it feels that since everyone has to pay for psn now, their service quality just went down the toilet.

I tried email support, twitter, and phone calls. They never fix shit. You're better off just buying a new xbox over trying to deal with it.

My "problem" was more related to my account, but now that you mentioned it, I did contact them due to rrod on my 360 some year ago, no problem, even got spare cables when I got it back.

I've had good results.

I contacted them about a month ago to ask for a credit on a PSP came that doesn't work on any of the three Sony consoles I own (Vita, PS3/4).  The compatibility description was IDENTICAL to another game I purchased at the same time that works as advertised, so it was not my fault.  

 

I had google'd how to get a refund because I was expecting some sort of automated process with a "report a problem" button some where. I was wrong, and websites said you have to call them and "maybe" get a refund because "all sales are final." 

 

When the rep answered, I told him the short version of my issue and asked for an exception to have a credit to my PSN wallet.  He placed me on hold to make it happen and then came back on the line confirming that it was a one-time exception and explained the turn-around-time to see the credit. 

 

It all took about 10 minutes. I was satisfied. However, a one-time-exception should turn into another exception if another game's description is misleading by not saying what hardware it is compatible with. 

 

 

 

I've called Playstation support two other times, but they weren't about the PSN Store or my account, so that might not be what you want to hear about.

i can understand why they didnt unlock your account. imagine all the people who claim that they were wrongfully suspended... there would be thousands, maybe tens of thousands a day (globally) that bitches about it. So they prolly decided that lookin into it, and checking if you were speaking truthfully would be more of a hassle then just tellin you to wait out your suspension.

While it is an asshole move, it is NOWHERE NEAR AS ASSHOLE AS SOME OTHER COMPANIES.

Try Nexon... they changed their password system and my password didnt work anymore because they removed one of the symbols that was in my password at the time (shift + 4).... end result, my account which i had dumped like 1500 USD into, was gone....

customer support didnt reset my password even if i had all the credentials they asked for...

 

THAT is bad customer support.

psn support was good for me, two weeks ago i forgot to cancel the trail for play station now, and thus is auto renewed. So i called them and explained that i had forgotten to cancel my trail and was there anything he could do about it. He told me that due to T& C he couldn't refund the money back to my card, but did refund it back to my wallet. So all in all id say there quite good.

I had pretty good support from Sony.  Long story short.  Vita had to be warranty repaired.  Had some issues on the repair front, but the actual customer service aspect of it was top notch.  I try to avoid chat when possible since it's more miss than hit for me.  Telephonic support for me has been superior every time in all my experiences.  Same went for Amazon.

When I contacted them about my ps4 error not letting me play my games after I installed my nyko data bank they where uselessl.

luckily I found online to format my drive again on pc and It worked man I wasn't able to play any of my games for a month and a half
