So today I recently got an awesome new ikea desk, and I love it to bits already.

But I now have my PC on my desk, and I was wondering how I could make it less loud.

My current ideas are:

- Remove the two standard fans, which are in the back, so I'll just have my two corsair AF140 silent's in the front.

- Get sound dampening foam. I don't know where to put it though, and I don't know what kind.

Please help me if you can, I want to keep the case because I really like the looks.

Thank you!

get quieter fans for the back and set a lower rpm but a speed high enough so it moves air.

I have two quiet fans in the front, and stock ones in the back. I'm thinking of just removing the stock ones.

Get a massive CPU heatsink and remove the fans, with my 4790(non k) and a Raijintek EreBoss I got around 78 deg under load.

Would it be possible to just entirely remove the back two fans?

yes, but there might be some heat that lingers inside your case so I would go with one quiet fan in the back.

quiet fans, internal sound isolation and less fans

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)
