Trying to move someone to PC.

Hey, I have a friend who loves gaming and plays on XB1. He was going to get a PS4 at Christmas but me and my friends are trying to get him into PC. Is there anything I should say about the PC and a build which would be the same price as a ps4 would be appreciated which could run just as well or better.

I feel great to be back on the LTT forums :D

sit him down in front of something worthy of praise and let the computer do the talking. In the case that you don't have anything impressive, show him the prices of games on g2a.com vs. the playstation store.

tell them that destiny isnt that good and show them cool games that are "pc exclusiv" :D

yup in long term pc is much better but you need some $

YOU KNOW WHAT. GO DO SCRAPYARD WARS STYLE MADNESS. That's the only way you can get a full build for that price. (Hope he enjoys his q6600 LMAO  :D  and 7770)

You have to go back to Linus' video on this. What is he looking for when gaming? If he really only plays COD or BF3/4 online, prefers sitting on his couch, and he is looking for a really good social experience and isn't worried about graphics that will blow your mind, then I would say there is nothing wrong with him gaming on a console.

Has he spent any time watching you play games on your PC? Maybe get him to try out a couple games on your PC and see if he likes it. Don't try to pressure him into it; let him make up his own mind.

Another thing to keep in mind is that some people that have only played on consoles are so heavily invested in their console game library that switching to a new platform would be more than they can afford at the time. I was just like that until about a year ago.
