Microsoft release new Xbox One Controller Adapter

Microsoft has just announced a new Xbox One Controller adapter.

 

This adapter will allow Windows 10 users to use their xbox One Controller wirelessly. THis is the first time MS has done this for Xbox One. It will work with USB 2.0, 3.0 and 3.1  (no USB-C). ANd it will also include a USB extender in the box.

Personally this is gonna be my next  step to the ultimate wireless setup and it will let me enjoy my experience with my PC connected to my TV and have my wireless keyboard with me  xD.

 

The best part is that it will cost $24.99 USD or your regional equivalent. It will begin shipping today.

It allows up to 8 controllers simultaneously connected and up to 4 xbox headsets.

 

The adapter is to make it wirelessly connect to your PC because before you couldn't do it that way.

I would be exited but, the controller already costs 60+€, and the adapter will probably be 30-35€ more.

Cool, can't you just do this through something like better DS tool or DS3 tool via bluetooth? Or is that only with PS3/4 controllers?

just get a ps3/ps4 controller, cheap as balls, works with every emulator and most games. And it's bluetooth.

yeah I bought the logitech f710 because of that reason, but its not the best controller, does okayish, but would prefer the xbox one

 

its a step up from the stupid 360 one at least with 48m of cable

It's about the size of a flash drive... so not "MASSIVE" but its bigger. I think the upside to it not being a nano is being able to have 8 controllers and 4 headsets on it simultaneously

They'd be insane to stick a Type C connection on there when so few devices have them, it should still work in a Type C port if you fit it with an adaptor. Although why you'd want to waste a perfectly good USB Type C port on this when they're so scarce is another question entirely.

 

Type C -> USB 2.0 - 3.1 hub (depending on other devices) -> this adaptor

 

Still, glad they've finally sorted this!

IDK, I like the ergonomics of The XBone Controller.

 

The 360 controller is way cheaper though.

8 controllers and 4 headsets is probably pretty irrelevant for 99% of PC users,its a nice feature but I bet hardly anybody uses that - plus most people will have headsets that connect to their PC anyway

Very tempting since I play a lot of games where I would find this useful :P
