Smallest mITX Case Possible

Go to solution Solved by Curufinwe_wins,

How much smaller? I like the look of the Node 202 but I like the ML08 a touch better.

The ML08 is 12 Liters.

The Node 202 is 10.2 Liters.

The SG05 is 10.8 Liters.

So you all might know that I am into small cases. I was planning on making my own, but the costs appear to be way too high for my needs. I wanted a Dan Case A4 but the price tag of $230 is not only high but very far away as this case comes out around the beginning of 2016 (to the US I believe). What's a super small (I mean smaller than my SG05) and cheap(er) case that will house my 290 and whatever PSU I need to power it? No need for any extra fan slots, HDD cages etc. I have one 2.5" drive, and I plan on keeping it that way (I will be moving back to a 1TB SSD soon). If it barely clears my 290 or comes close enough, I can modify it to fit, I just need something incredibly small. Again, it has to be smaller than my SG05 and as cheap as possible too, although it can be more expensive, just not $150+ expensive. Thanks!

Edit: Jeez people, SMALLER!

The point is to go smaller not bigger.

If you want smaller, then you may have to ditch the 290. And go with something like a R9 Fury Nano, or the mITX variant of the GTX 970.

It's tough to go much smaller, since a limitation on how small they can make the cases is the actual physical size of the components.

If you truly want to go small, you'll have to ditch that 290. Period.

Get something like a Fury Nano or an ITX card.

Nuh uh. 290 is my prized possession.

Hmm... Actually the FT03 isn't that bad of a chassis. Still kinda big, but I'll put it on the list.

I'm already SFF I want something even smaller.

Reference 290 is bad. Like historically bad.

I think cube cases look stupid and don't know how anyone could like them.

Node 202 would be a case to get btw.

Just looked it up its 10.2 L but still looks smaller than that.

my point is the reference 290 is already dogshit and terribad in every possible way and you want to make it even more starved for air? EWWWWWW

Node 202 would be the case to get btw. Even though it may have a larger volume (which IDK if it does), it is an upright tower so it won't seem as big as that ultra fugly case you are using now (or all the stupid as fuck square-faced itx cases)

:'( Calling my 290 terrible... What a rude comment. And calling my SG05 ugly... You haven't even seen my build log...

290 reference is awful. FACT. SG05 is ugly. OPINION

repeated information

But yea the Node 202 is slightly smaller while being the mini-tower type which imho makes it look even smaller than it is.

Also that A4 would take no effort to make on your own. Just literally take the pics you have and start building. It's a super simple design.

Your point is that that entire post was an opinion, and the op has a different opinion. @byalexandr have a look on Silverstone's website about the milo series, other than that I don't think there are any cases similar to the SG05 at similar prices.

Technically the reference 290 is better in this situation because all the heat is exhausted out of the case and not everywhere inside it :P
