Smallest mITX Case Possible

Then go with that. I can't think of any case that is smaller than that one. Smallest footprint is probably the FT03-MINI, though. But that's tall.

Were you looking at the Micro or the Mini?

The Micro is actually almost more enticing, as it's only ever so slightly larger, yet offers loads more options for expansion, and I believe it'll take your current card as well.

They also pop up on eBay all the time for relatively cheap.

Technically the reference 290 is better in this situation because all the heat is exhausted out of the case and not everywhere inside it

Even compared to other reference cards... the 290(x) is one of the worst ever made. So I think that qualifies for a terribad comment.

Well I think that because when you have a GPU intaking it's own air repeatedly (same goes for CPU) unless you have adequate ventilation you're going to end up with a really hot ambient temp. Also, yes I know the reference 290 and x were shit (or was it the x only? Everyone was bitching about the temps on the x only?)

Node 202 would be a case to get btw. Even though it may have a larger volume (which IDK if it does), it is an upright tower so it won't seem as big as that ultra fugly case you are using now (or all the stupid as fuck square-faced itx cases)

 

Just looked it up its 10.2 L but still looks smaller than that.

I would say it in real life, because it's the truth (the parts that are fact that is, and the opinions stated are truthfully held.) But I understand sometimes other people have different standards/expectations.

If it makes you feel better, my opinions (and the fact that the reference 290 is indeed historically bad) have nothing to do with you owning it, and just because I don't like it and would never buy it or recommend anyone else to buy it, does not mean you should throw it the trash or anything. Obviously it is better than nothing, and indeed better than many things.
