They're probably grey market lens, which means you probably won't get a manufactures warranty.

Yup, just look at the really popular artists on YT. Some of them got their click number set down because it was reached with payed bots.

That's actualy a prety standard price. It doesn't seem that special. I'd say it's probably legit but i don't know.

actually its not, for the older ii version, it is, but for the newer stm version, its very cheap!

It looks like the one that offers the 1 year warranty is provided by the seller.  So it technically comes with a warranty, but I have no idea how good the warranty is.

Personally if the price difference for a grey market lens and a legit lens isn't much, I'd just pay the extra for the legit one.

Hey Guys,

Do you think these ebay listings are legit?

These are the cheapest i can find, and it looks promising.

The cheapest other option is going with Wex Photographic and getting it for £94.

Yes, they could most likely be grey market lenses.  Do some Google searches for the risks on buying a grey market camera product.  Are you willing to take some risks?

Have you looked around your local camera stores to see if they carry a used/second hand version of these lenses?

it is a fair bit more... at £20

Ok i don't know if i would call a 20-30€ saving very cheap but...

That's a pretty normal price for that lens. The F/1.8 version goes usually for about $100 USD and the F/1.4 version goes for around $400-500 but has also a better build quality.

the older mark ii version is that cheap, but the stm version is more expensive.

+1 :)

i am willing to take some risks, depends on the risks..

i do not have many stores around, but i do not want to buy a used one.

better get from a more legit dealer if the price is nearly the same, it gives you warranty and ensures you that the product works.

I'm not saying this dealer isn't legit, but IIRC it's a grey market dealer, items sold by them have no manufacture warranty and money back policy incase the item doesn't work.

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

Manufacturer's warranty also ensures that if something does go wrong (barring physical damage such as you dropped your camera), you can get it repaired for free or they will have to replace it, as long as it is within the warranty period.

E.g. Buying the (generally more expensive) official camera batteries vs. buying third party ones.  If the official ones are faulty and damages your camera, the camera manufacturer will have to repair the camera for free or replace it.  They don't cover damages caused by third party batteries.
