I understand where you're coming from, I think with a full development team something really cool could come out of it.

Getting carried away is always good, very interesting concepts. I like the fact that GM's will become an active part of the game used for more then just events and stopping hackers

It came up as an idea to benefit players who actually do good for the community, but that would be the only requirement. Those people must be a positive influence on the community whether they're known or not, and everything else would be up to the GM. In one server the fire god could just be interested in women and maxes out his "adepts" slots with female players and in another server the fire god may not even like anyone and just pick one at random.

Another interesting idea is that the talking to the gods could become heresy and not even a known feature of the game, so those who were picked would need to keep it to themselves or people would just reply "lol stop roleplaying you fa***t" if they tried to tell anyone. This would eventually play into some events where summoning a god down to earth, even if temporarily, is required and these people would play a huge role somehow.

A game that is exactly like real life where it's open world and you can go anywhere in the world, do anything you want. Sort of like GTA but on steroids on meth. There wouldn't necessarily be any quests or objectives, just endless opportunities. The game would be just like real life in the sense that you are a human that can choose to do anything and, if you don't cause absolute destruction which would cause the game to react differently, it would update news wise with updated that are actually going on in real life. So if we get a new president, the game would reflect that.

I can smell you

Great idea! I think that could work really well on something like the Oculus Rift  :D

Probably a proper racing game (arcade style) to fill the gap that Need for Speed left.

Proper as in Shift's styling? Or something like the Underground series? NFS Underground 2 sequel with a much more open world and more cars would be very cool indeed.

The latter.

Shift and Shift 2 are good games, just not my style. I've been deeply disappointed in the series with every release after Carbon. I could really do with a game that somehow combines the elements of Most Wanted (2005), Carbon and Underground 2.

It would be cool if this game could have like 50+ cars.

I'd make an absurd game, GTA style but instead with babies, when shot they'd explode like an Orange, perhaps leave a fart sound. Can you imagine babies driving barbie sized hotrods with uzi's in their hand, with their cute clothing? Nothing gore though, as I've said - just a quick poof.

So many things I could write here... things like this.

I'm sure that could be modded into GTA IV with relative ease

What about something like Borderlands 2? It's pretty much the perfect game to me, fun story, hilarious characters, essentially open world, multiplayer campaign and heaps of awesome weapons. It merges FPS and RPG so well :D
