Try a thermaltake tr2 as it cools mine at 4.9ghz.I have downclocked it to stock as my fsb started to give up after 9 months.

I only use mine for benchmarking so I don't intend to get a cooler specifically for it :P

I've got the Abit VP6 however, and I can unlink the RAM from the CPU Bus, therefore allowing me to run both Pentium III at 1.2GHz (or a 20% OC each). And its only jumper is for resetting the BIOS  :P, it is the first true overclocker friendly motherboard-and it does it with 2 CPU.

It's basically a ceramic extreme cooler sandwiched between 4 katmai heatsinks apply this on a cpu or gpu removing the bottom lÀyer to acheive super overclockability

im also Pentium 4 owner. I got P4 641. This was the latest P4 With 65nm Cedar Mill core. The CPU is still working but the Foxconn mobo fucked cause of crappy bios.

Pentium 4 is too old to even be viable....

 

Just get a Core2Duo... you can literally pick up a whole system for $100 if you look around...

@Asulenovcer this is a legit problem as many people still have their P4's

 

QFT. I work in IT doing primarily computer repair, and a LOT of people are still running Windows XP on Pentium 4 and Celeron processors. But, I don't think many of them will be on this forum, or even know it exists for that matter.

Haha, probably not. Sorry. I'd rather help people upgrade to something that's actually going to help them be productive. If someone has a CPU that's that old, my only guess is they've never replaced the thermal grease or dusted out their system, and by this point many of their components are probably worn and damaged anyway.

Anyone want to help me get my Pentium pro computer back up and running? It's the 200 Mhz large cache model which was running Windows 95 at the time. Hasn't been ran in 8 years though but kept in a cool clean dry environment.
