Box Box Box - Sim Racing Players Club [Now Hype Train Enabled!]

He said that seasons don't bring anything to the table, but it does a lot. Ambient and track surface temperature differences which will affect the car performance and also force you to alter the driving style.

You dont realize how blessed LiveTrack is until you have 20+ Escorts blasting down the Hangar straight on Silverstone, all sideways because of the puddles. Bloody good fun.

Not if its the same system as the first game (which it appears so) and you won't see them online anyways.

Edit: without a custom tool like Grid Livery Editor which requires modding the game for offline use.

Spent some quality time in PCars2 last night. Mostly adjusting and tweaking the FFB. Using Jack Spade's standard medium with a few modifications to the file and in-game FFB settings. Got it to where it feels pretty good to me. Still, some cars don't feel right, but it's still FAR better than PCars1 ever felt.

You can really flirt at the limit and remain in control - something you almost could never do in PC1.

Something odd was happening though. With modern road cars, it was shifting as if autoclutch was on, but I know for a fact (in the in-game settings and because I have a key bound to it) that autoclutch was OFF. Still, I could simply move the shifter without touching the clutch and it would autoclutch for me. Why??? I noticed this in the GT86 and Mustang GT for example. Kind of defeats the purpose of having/using the clutch pedal - which I love to do.

I have accepted the unfortunate shift-delay of older manual cars and just use autoclutch for them so I'm not missing gears every single time (SO frustrating). This game is really good but has some little things that really bring it down IMO. They are small things, but important things... :/

I'm loving pCars 2 FFB after some tweaking, feels much better compare to AC.

I remember AC FFB is just tad lower than rFactor few years ago but when i came back to simracing after over a year of hiatus i feel AC FFB is really bland. Tried few guides online but it only slightly improved the experience.

The actual wheel rim looks a little bit cheap, doesn't it? It looks like a G29 and a Driving Force GT had a baby.

probably to save costs, to produce more of these to put in retail stores and stock, maybe also bundle with GT sport. besides, if you really wanted high-quality sim racing hardware, you'd go with fanatec or heusinkveld

SHH is a slightly cheaper shifter built by some guy. 3D printed but ships kinda slow

Turns out its a lot harder to get 7 skill by driving well than it is losing 50 because you get DCd or kicked from a race.

Quote

Since Forza Motorsport 7 launched into early access last week, everyone here at Turn 10 has been keeping a close eye on our players’ feedback. The most important thing to us is to maintain open communication with the Forza Community. We’ve heard what you have had to say and, starting today, you can expect some significant changes.

VIP and Ultimate
Over the weekend we heard loud and clear from Ultimate Edition owners expressing frustration over the VIP membership offer in Forza Motorsport 7. We immediately updated the VIP description in the Windows Store to alleviate any future confusion. As head of the studio, I apologize for any confusion or frustration our players may have experienced.

Going forward, we will continue to ensure that Forza Motorsport 7 VIPs receive the most value for their VIP membership, including new experiences and great content. Starting today we’re sending all Forza Motorsport 7 VIPs four additional Forza Edition cars:

2016 Jaguar F-TYPE Project 7 Forza Edition
2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Forza Edition
2017 Acura NSX Forza Edition
2010 Maserati Gran Turismo S Forza Edition

Forza 7 VIPs will be able to download all these cars from the in-game message center and add them to their car collection. Players will not only enjoy an immediate bump to their Car Collection score after adding these Tier 5 Legendary cars to their garages, they’ll also be able to take advantage of the inherent perks that each of these Forza Edition cars offer. In addition to the cars, we’re also sending all Forza 7 VIPs 1 million credits.

Secondly, and even more significantly, we will be changing VIP rewards in Forza Motorsport 7. This new system will work like it did in Forza Motorsport 6, offering a 2X base credit bonus after every race. We’ve already started work on this feature and we will release it as soon as possible. Look for more information on this update as we near the release date.

PC Stability and Performance
Since the launch of Forza Motorsport 7 on Windows 10 PCs, I’ve been delighted to see so many players enjoying the Windows 10 version on a huge variety of PC hardware configurations. We’ve enjoyed seeing feedback from fans who are praising how Forza 7 plays on their personal PCs. That said, we are aware of stability and performance issues that some PC players are facing. The team is working around the clock to report, investigate, and resolve these issues as quickly as possible. In fact, our first update for the game went live yesterday, addressing several PC stability and performance issues. The quality of the PC experience will continue to be a top priority.

If you are experiencing a technical issue with Forza Motorsport 7, please let us know, either in our Technical Support forums here on the site, via Twitter, or by sending us an e-mail at forzafb@microsoft.com.

From everyone here at Turn 10, I’d like to personally thank you all for playing Forza Motorsport 7. We’re glad you’re here. Your passion for racing and Forza inspires and drives us every day.

Sincerely,
Alan

Yeah AC has been kind of ruined for me. Ever since I joined the PRD league and racing PCars primarily, it's like I can't drive in AC anymore. The older cars in AC feel so sloppy like there's a huge dead zone and no matter what I change in the ffb settings, nothing helps. Also feels like most of the older cars in AC have massive rear brake bias for some reason. It's weird.

But yeah, the PRD gang have all been experimenting in PCars2 and have found the shifting with the H pattern is very inconsistent across all cars. Quite annoying, but not unplayable.

The shifting is being looked into, most likely caused by the rapid shifting penalty.

Yes sort of, the way it should work is:

Quote

Shift request comes in
Look at what the engine rpm would be if the shift is successful at that instant
If engine rpm > threshold, reject the shift request

Clutch input and even current engine rpm shouldn't be a factor in the equation. The threshold right now is set at the rev limit rpm, but I think it would be a good idea to increase this to maybe 110% of rev limit.

H-pattern manuals leave you on your own. Nothing there to stop you slamming it into any gear at speed.

This is only for modern sequential gearboxes where electronic protection like this does exist.

You can read more about it here: http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?51462-Slow-shifts&p=1368846#post1368846
