What does S and T stand for? (4590S) (4590T)

Hi guys!

So I'm very confused here I just choosed Intel 4590 for my pc build, but there is like three different ones. One with nothing after it, then there is one with a S and one with a T. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

And would you choose a different CPU for a budget around 200$?

Plz answer and thank you!

Does it effect performance?

S is low power, T is even lower power.

S would stand for the low power series, and T stands for Ultra low power. Do not ask what the K stands for, it just means overclockable for some reason. Intel's nomenclature is tricky.

my friend bought a t series CPU for his rig. it has served him fine, and he loves its LACK of heat output :)

but for performance, go for the regular one or K series if you want to overclock.
