780 cooler has a scratch, should i RMA?

Just recieved my EVGA 780 and theres a scratch on the cooler in a very obvious spot. Would RMA'ing it for such a minor thing be a very douchy thing to do? Im just so sad :(

Just RMA it, Evga have the best customer support anyway. 

 

Oh and, putting a graphics card on what it seems (to me) a bed sheet, bad idea, Static electricity.

That looks like shipping damage, that could easily be buffed out. They wont RMA that for you.

Static isnt really a problem ever. I proved it but doing a build in the most static way possible, building on carpet, rolling around on the floor in a velvet top, scratching my hair and combing it, rubbing a plastic rod(o god that sounds bad) with a hanky. No problems at all, that pc is 3 years old now. Components are more robust then you think, its like putting a mobo on the anti static bag, it thing doesnt just go up in flames straight away

I would contact them and file for rma because you payed 450 pound / 550 dollars on that and even though its only a mark you wouldn't expect that on that expensive product

You probably have a return policy there, if you cant RMA it, use that. I recently got my Asus PB278Q and it had 4 dead pixels, you need 5 to RMA it, so I used our lovely 14 day return policy to return it and switch it to a brand new one. If you pay £450, at least I'd expect a flawless item to arrive.

If you don't really like it, you could RMA it. But for me as long as the card functions fine, I am satisfied with it. But since you paid that much for that card, I would RMA it.

Yes they will.  I RMA'd my GTX 780 ACX SC because it had scratches all over it.

All being the key word there, there's no performance degrading damage so i don't see why they should/would. It's not worth their time
