Whats his intended uses? What Res? e.t.c @njmyers3

Initial thoughts: Get an i5 not an FX

                         R9 380 instead of a 960

i5 4460 - $180ish SOOO Worth is

the 380 is a beast for 1080p gaming

You need a better cooler for that processor imho. And just get an i5 if he hasnt bought it. AMD isnt really good

AMD is great for getting a gpu that is practical for your use. Not so much for cpu's

CX 750(M) isnt that bad

Not good, but not as worse as the lower tiers

On the contrary - the CX750 and CX600 are the ones to most commonly die :D

CX430 is probably the least dangerous one

This build is just $5 more, but is immeasurably better. I also kept the aesthetics similar with a red and black design.

Yeah it's the higher ones.

CX430 and CX500 are hated on wayyy too much as they are the right amount of power a low-mid build would need.

Oh, they are equally bad. CX500 is the same crap as the 600 - just less frequently used :D

CX400 was the ONLY good unit
