You need a Z170 chipset board. That's a Z97 board.

You're mistaking Skylake for Broadwell. That one does work on Z97.

No, you will need to get a motherboard running the Z170 chipset to run any Intel Skylake chip.

 

 

You need a Z170 chipset board. That's a Z97 board.

 

 

You're mistaking Skylake for Broadwell. That one does work on Z97.

Look at the Motherboard CPU compatibility list before buying anything.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5800X +  GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080 12GB + Motherboard: Asus Crosshair VIII Hero

Don't worry. I'm far from buying the actual computer. I'm trying to learn as much as possible before I buy anything. But thanks for the advice. ^_^
