Brilliantly put mate. Let me add another scenario. Lets say a huge climate summit is about to happen. And lets say that it is not the current government interest that it should succeed. So why not release a couple of loose emails completely discontextualized and let the media uproar deal with it? Or lets say a progressive political candidate is making waves and gaining popularity. Why not expose whatever he did in his private life that might be moraly ambiguous? Or even tracking anyone who voices displeasure and dissent at the current state of affairs?

These reasons together with chinesechef most eloquent post are the reason why it annoys me that some people juat go "hurrrr if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear durrr".

I think this program is a danger to freedom.
