Apple's next iPhone event slated for September 10th

ios-control-center-2.jpg

According to AllThingsD, Apple will unveil their next iPhone on September 10th. There is no official word yet, but rumours suggest there will be a successor to the iPhone 5 (probably 5S) and a cheaper iPhone in plastic (iPhone 5C). iOS 7 will almost certainly be a focus of the event too.

UPDATE:

The above statement by AllThingsD has actually been confirmed by industry expert Jim Dalrymple who has a perfect track record of confirming Apple News. CEO Tim Cook is expected to take the stage in San Francisco as usual.

As stated before two new devices are almost sure to be unveiled. First a budget plastic bodied iPhone 5C aimed at emerging markets, specifically China (with carriers such as China Mobile which have never offered an Apple iPhone) but it may or may not be released in the rest of the world.

Second is the iPhone 5S, a successor of the iPhone 5 which is expected to have a faster processor, a better camera, possibly dual LED flash and a fingerprint scanner in the home button.

Just like each year I expect the iPhone 5 will be dropped in price but I'm not sure whether the iPhone 4S will be dropped in price or replaced by the iPhone 5C if it makes it outside China.

It looks exactly the same...

That's a picture of an iPhone 5... but there is a large probability that the i5S will look more or less the same.

Actually that's because it IS an iPhone 5, but I agree.

Unless there's a compelling reason to upgrade from my iPhone 5, doubt I'll be considering it :poorstudentpayingfees:  although a fresh feel would be pretty sweet .. a new case will do it I suppose (talk about cheaping out)!

Apple iPhone 5S is caring the same A6 processor but at a higher clock speed and there is a fingerprint scanner on the home button(used to be the whole screen, fingerprint scanning is a rumor) and included LTE-Advance...

All of the hate has attracted this topic. I am not an Apple fanboy, but I'm sick of seeing people bicker over it. And yes, I own a metric fecal ton of Apple products, but I regret buying the Mac.

LG believed that Apple copied the LG Prada. Cisco and Linksys had products (not like iPhone) that had the same name. Infogear owned the iPhone name. Samsung and Apple are two annoying patent trolls.

Why do you regret buying a Mac? I bet it's because of the Price- Performance. Just wondering. I had a Mac and I don't regret buying it.

It is about price-performance. I love the OS, but it was $600 and it had an i5, 2GB RAM and it's all laptop style components. I do like the fact that it is so small though. I hope one day to get a Thunderbolt enclosure and plug a graphics card into it. Also, yes, it is strange. It was "A half-hour close up of some bloke's sweaty face." XD

5S will most likely just have performance bump and maybe a new feature or two like that rumored fingerprint scanner. Only thing I want to see is iOS 7. I want to see something new on my iPhone :D

The biggest change to the iPhone since iPhone is the screen size :)... Geek user really want iOS7 but normal user don't care, normal user see things come and go but geek see it as an big impact...
