I have been a lurker for a while, but what a better time to make an account than with the possibility of a prize! Here is my submission, had fun making it and i wish everyone the best of luck!

Hey don't sweat it. I rushed that on a Sunday night so it looks kind of grainy. And yes, I did try to make a video but it went over time.

 

Most of the videos that were really cool on youtube were 31 seconds (youtube's rounding up to nearest minute btw).

The concept looks good, but what can you improve on that setup?

After all, there is a chance that you will win the Dream PC and then you need somewhere to spend the price money, that is not completly stupid.

 

And between, it sound like you are cutting the song short (lack of ending).

I can improve a lot, Of course its a great setup , But I recently quit my job to start making videos and produce music for people. and as good as a 5930k sounds with a 290x , it still struggles for 4k video editing or 3d compositing. Also , I still run a single 1080p display. As for the dream SETUP , I would augment the number of cores and GPU's for better live preview of projects im working on , get a better pair of nearfield studio monitors Pump the ram to 128gb (4k really eats up ram on preview ) and storage ( on a 256 boot drive ) get a better display or 2 ( obviously ), Better Sound card. Backup systems ( mine is terrible right now.. ) and a few other things here and there ( USB/Periferals/etc). So yeah, Always room for improvement , and it would be great if I could start a youtube channel and maybe be financially stable again. 

 

As for the song, Yeah... that 30 second limit really was the deciding factor , had to tweak the tempo for me to fit an exact number of bars in it , a shame i didnt get to talk about the issues of my computer could of made it funnier ( raid too slow because of cheap Mobo , boot issues , temperature issues , display port disconnecting Randomly ETC )
