More bad news from MGS V/Konami

Those of you following MGS V will likely know multiplayer is being handled by forward operating bases, those who don't watch this video.

Konami released the manual today and inside it it's confirmed that users are limited to one FOB with the option of more hidden behind a paywall. Users will have to purchase MB Coins with real money. Looks like $23 minimum for an extra FOB if the PS4 prices are correct.

My thoughts, meh. Can't see a situation where you'd need more than one FOB anyway however I really don't like this behaviour. It's looking quite expensive to play MP.

What's the use of these forward operating bases? If it's strictly for multiplayer I don't care, but if it's single player and you need to get these to progress then piss off.

Not really interested in the multiplayer aspect of this game... or any multiplayer shoehorned into single player games.

Whats with the recent money fuck ups? Deus Ex Mankind divided fucked up its pre-order system completely and now MGSV is doing more and more stupid microtransaction things. Even if I were to buy the game, I'd pirate it as well just to get around the microtransactions (for the SP stuff then), I'll only pay once for a game, 60-70 eu is enough....

Anyways: I like this "mini game" but this pay wall thing is news to me and its stupid as fuck.

We're playing as Venom Snake , not Big Boss .

The microtransaction they will introduce will likely only affect the multiplayer, and microtransactions is only an option, and its a business decision on their part. Like its a business decision in your part whenever you  decide you would download the pirated version of a single player game rather than paying for it. They need money to maintain a server for players to play on. A game(franchise) that have good multiplayability (reasonable amount of players) without healthy microtransaction would be refreshed with new game (Battlefield -> Next Battlefield) or just die if they started losing money but unable to develop the next game. Even on private servers that people played when the official server died also needed donation to be kept alive.

Nice try but MGS uses p2p matchmaking, no servers and no maintenance costs either.

The Medic.... is something I dont think anybody is 100% sure of yet, its a bit of a mystery

You don't even need to complete it. It's painfully obvious pretty much from the get go.
