Guess what happens when you plug the ssd out of a running system?

LOL this was a stupid thing but I wanted to see what would happen if I plugged the OS SSD sata cable out while the system was running. I was at the start screen. I plugged it out. Nothing happened. the live tiles were updating fine. then I plugged it back in. BAM BSOD! Lol now we  know what happens!

But he couldn't record it to anything...

(I guess he could stream it, but opening programs would probably give errors since there is no drive to access them)

How did you find out fire was hot?

Probably the same way you did.  When you were younger at some point you touched something hot and it hurt.  You then learned to recognize that hot things = pain.  Avoidance of pain just became ingrained and you now have no idea how that programming originally got there, it's been so long that you chock it up to common sense.  But when you yell at a 2 year old for climbing into the oven, you are yelling out of fear for that child, not because they are too stupid to avoid being burned because they don't understand the concept of hot = pain yet.

So if he hasn't had the chance to read up on, see for himself, or learn about how the SSD works, or what happens when certain conditions are met (simply because he hasn't encountered them yet), it doesn't mean he is a dumbass.  It just means he didn't know and wanted to know but knew it wouldn't cause him bodily harm or the risk was negligible toward whatever values his recognizes at important.

I'd say the dumbass is someone without the basic situational awareness to recognize this very reoccurring behavior in humanity.

Now, if he goes and does this again tomorrow and is surprised by the result, mock away.
