I haven't looked into this at all but I was watching a video from JaysTwoCents and he mentioned ASIC quality now I know that the higher the number generally the better OC you can get with lower voltages and lower temps but what is the average percentage.

Yesterday reinstalled my GTX 780 and it scores an ASIC quality of 72% and I have no idea if that is any good though since I have no plans to overclock it doesn't really mean much to me but I'm just wondering out of curiosity.

It's about average. Scoring in the low 70's is average I would say.

It's alright, in that video J2C said that 80 or something is the highest usually, and 65 or something is lowest usually..

But it's not the be all and end all (is that spelled right??) of you GPU and its OC'ing capability.

Nope - it's completely random usually - EVGA recently started selling Kingpins based on ASIC but up until that it's all RNGesus' working.

Case in point - I have a 280 and a firned has a 280X both by asus - mine has 77% - his 72% - luck - then again - mine is dying as we speak so luck ^_^

I wouldn't get too worked up over it, the silicon lottery matters far more than ASIC quality. You could have 90% ASIC quality but if you get unlucky with the Silicon lotto then it wont make a difference.

I am blind

Do you see the icon in the top left hand corner of GPU-Z? Click on it and it should bring up a menu. There should be an option for checking ASIC quality.

Not going to say if it's good or not, but my Windforce 970 has 77.7%.
