and we told you, you dont need to be spending your parents money on pointless cards, if you must have balls to the wall, get something like 2-3 980Ti's.

 

and besides if the pattern continues the 1080 should at least have the performance of the 980ti/Titan X.

 

if you need to burn a few thousand dollars then least do the house up or store some of it for later or moving out and finding your own place.

They are both dual slot cards. They'd need to be converted for single slot use. 

 

You'd have the lanes if you had a board with a PLX chip installed.
