This was posted on Ars Technica and I thought it was ironic.

What do you guys think was the reason they blocked it?

Probably because it has "ars" in it. They might've been a little thorough with blocking potential porn sites?

Even if you can get to use it, airplane-based internet is the most awful, excruciating, bamboo-shoots-under-the-fingernails experience. It's pretty much up there with dial-up and set-top-boxes because you're trying to provide wireless internet to 400 people through one router. ONE ROUTER. with a connection that's throttled for each user to around 250kbps if you're lucky. When on planes I just go unconnected because I have more than enough entertainment to keep me company. As long as I have power on the flight, I have all of game of thrones, I have Paint Tool SAI, I have Blender, and I have OpenOffice. And a 100MB folder of fox lolis that is steadily increasing.

and don't get me started on Airport wi-fi. If I see one more Boingo hotspot again, I think I'll just bring in a Kali distro.

I don't think I've ever encountered any porn that used the word arse. Ass definitely, but not arse.
