AMD FX 8350 vs. Intel 4690k?

Here is my thought: if I get the 4690k, i will overclock it a bit using a air cooler like a Cryorg or something. However, if i get a 8350, I can overclock it much more using a water cooler for example, corsair h100i or whatever its called, should I do this?

Edit: and the 8350 has 8 cores :3

It kinda depends what you're using it for in this case, the 4690k is a better CPU, however the 8350 also has its uses.

Remember that you can get the 4690k and buy a better cooler in the future, don't need the overclock right away anyway....

Get a 4690k. Or even better, save up a bit more $$$ and get a 6600k and skylake if this is a new rig.

6600k isnt worth the money

honestly 4690K if you want to OC - 4460 if you don't mind stock clocks and it's also cheaper.

Overclocking the FX8 still doesn't give it any performance you should care about. Get the i5.

Then yeah 4690k by FAR.

Even if you left the 4690k at stock it would perform better than an OC'd 8350 in every game.

4690k is just straight up better, too many people make the mistake of buying AMD. If you absolutely insist on getting AMD, wait for Zen. AMD's new line of CPU's.

Correction. Wait for benchmarks of Zen. It'll likely be disappointing though.
