Sometimes I do, mostly games and gaming related items though.

But it's not a super scary thing to do, as long as you can see the item in working condition and you know what the previous owner has done with it (no bitcoin mining, extreme overclocking, etc.)

I bought my Cooler Master HAF X secondhand for about $70. Just be sure to inspect the part fully and stress test it to make sure it is still in mint condition. A bonus would be having the receipt, the original box and accessories. It shows pride and care of ownership.

So look at local craigslist and listings so that you can physically meetup for the inspection and testing. Dont do ebay.

When you buy a Second Hand tech, Just avoid it buying from eBay or some sites. If you trust them so much, Buy.

Get it from someone you know, So that you could ask questions to them if the tech is not good.

It's like pirating NES games, Nintendo doesn't make money off of NES products.

And also, pirating is duplicating a product and distributing it for free, while you yourself still have the product.. 2nd hand games are never duplicated :P they just go from 1 owner to another. That's like someone selling their Steam account, the games go from one person to another and the first person doesn't have the games anymore.

Used hard drive? No

Used SSD? Maybe

Use graphics card? sure!

I also buy waterblocks, but only nickel ones. Copper is kinda sketchy used

SSDs under 240 can still write into the petabyte

True that but don't forget the r/w speeds drop over time also, and you never know what kind of usage conditions the last owner imposed on the SSD ph34r.png

good point, but if you can (if it is sold on steam official website or somewhere else) I would buy a game as new, and (in my opinion) selling steam accounts is nearly the same to pirating, and sometimes the "second hand games" are just pirated and put onto discs. And about Nintendo games, I am really wondering why Nintendo isn't selling them (I will research online when I have time but I won't get them because I never pirated any Nintendo games and I want to keep it that way)

Well Nintendo isn't selling most NES. SNES, N64 ,etc. games anymore. Sure, there are exceptions like they sell Super Mario Bros. in their Virtual Console and they remade games like Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time.. But most games are not remade or redistributed.

And I often go to thrift shops, pawn shops and flea markets buying 2nd hand games. Because I like collecting and 99% of the games are not sold new anymore.

Fun fact: I just came home after going to a pawn shop. Bought a couple PS1 and PS2 games.
