At least this was reopened, like you said on the other post it kind of is discrimination if the LGBT can have a thread but hetero can't. But, there isn't really a need for a hetero thread imo.

The idea of the LGBT community thing is to support LGBT people and their issues. Because they would need that or something. 

Not saying this shouldn't exist or anything, but I fail to see it's purpose. Other than "Just because."

I guess not but I'm glad they unlocked because that is incredibly unfair and discriminatory and like I said this is a positive supportive community.  No hate allowed guys and if there is I'll make sure the mods take the hate away B)

I'm hell-bent straight (fox lolis - I'm clearly straight) and I'm confused as to why this is a thing. What do straight people gain from talking about being straight?

LGBT has a thread because there's a certain disdain for that sort of thing, which leads to discrimination on a social level. That thread is here to help people deal with those issues. Straight people, being both the social and biological majority, are subject to basically none of said prejudices. So that's why this thread serves no purpose.

Fine, I admit that I don't agree with the practice of homosexual behaviour. However, my view is irrelevant, because it is not for me or any other person to judge others based on such things. Gauging peoples' individual worth based on their sexual orientation is just as stupid as gauging people by whether they love furries or whatever. It makes no sense. I respect all people just the same, instead of judging based on such petty differences as who you're attracted to.

Under that logic this is a thread for straight people who have a disdain for gay people? Dude, in the 'gay' thread we support kids coming out, it's a safe space, i can't help but to see this as a mockery or a truly deep lack of understanding. Either way, this ain't ending well...

Nope it's gonna be fine :D it was already locked but then unlocked because it was considered discrimination to allow one thread over the other plus this thread is part of  a social experiment and I'm going to be posting and conducting research on this forum.  The purpose is to construct a large, well informed, review on the site and it is gonna take around a year to complete the project so sorry if I offended people and yes I'd like this thread to stay up.  I decided to conduct a year long research on the site instead of a one month after I compiled some results of my and my thoughts towards the sites were fairly negative.  I didn't want the review to be this way so instead I decided to read multiple threads each day to see how the community members treat each other.  I will be posting real questions but I'll be taking notes on like the tone and stuff.
