Xperia Z5 premium to come with 4K display [Updated]

True, but this is a recipe for disaster. The 810 will overheat due to being strained by the 4K display. As a result performance in gaming and battery life will be terrible 

IMO phone tech moves too quickly. Last year we got 1440p screens. Now we have 4K even though 4K TVs and monitors are not widely adopted 

Indeed. But maybe Sony knows what they're doing? Possibly? Anybody?

And i am still on a 720p screen. Well my third phone in a row will have a 720p screen (Z5 Compact)

720p Master Race!

960x640 pixels master race!

UPDATE: Xperia Blog have translated the video and all three phones can capture the full 23MP using Superior Auto mode (previous handsets stuck to 8MP or 13MP).. 20 and 8MP modes are also selectable. The phone will also have a 30ms focus (8 times faster than the Xperia M5's 250ms autofocus)

Why not wait for new Snapdragon or new Exynos and use one of those? And why not 4GB of RAM on top of all that since also it's 4K res.

Maybe there will be some sort of power saving engineering build for that 4K display so it won't be much different on battery. I've read that increased res doesn't necessary mean bigger battery impact. Depends how display panel is made. Don't know details about it, just wanted to share that.

specs race ! f*ck software optimisation and heating/throttle. i refuse to buy a phone with the 810 in it and i`m not alone.

I can't wait. Of course there's going to be people who complain about higher resolutions, they've always done it. Remember 1080p and 1440p?

I wish this phone was larger though. I was hoping for the Z Ultra refresh with an 810. 6.4 inch 4k screen would be amazing!!!
