the random ads making sound should die out I agree with that but the ads are what makes peoples money and that's just mean to take away their money they earned

if i spend more time watching ads then using the bathroom, something is wrong.

Those minutes add up quickly.  20 vids par day with a 30 second ad = 10 minutes lost per day = 300 minutes or 5 hours lost per month = 3600 minutes or 60 hours or 2.5 full days lost annually.

Screw that, Ghostery uber alles.

I had similar problems with Adblock Plus a few years back. Just use the regular adblock it works flawless.

And also fuck the people who earn money from them?

...

honestly i could care less. ads are ads, and they are fucking annoying. if they make it suitable to their audiences, maybe. especially spotify. they play the most pointless ads ever.

I use Ad Block but I disable it here, I do use it on Youtube because honestly their ads are fucking annoying. People on youtube I like I support in different ways (like I always use the Linus link for my many purchases at Amazon)

or you could just not use adblock

The internet is too full of e-aids to not use an adblock of some sort. Without one, I'd probably still see flashing ads claiming I have a virus using the Windows XP border. Unless a site has proven itself to be clean, the net is too filthy to run without one now and that sucks that there are so many web admins using these dated methods vs using a cleanly placed banner that isn't obtrusive.

Anything trustworthy that needs ads to run gets a whitelist. Web admins need to earn your trust, not the other way around.

classic problems with easy fix

which is... UPDATES your filter list

545788b349.png

seriously not much people understand this, it's simply just like antivirus

just because it works, doesn't mean it will works forever

ads company has been finding work around to pass the adblocker since the beginning.

the reason why adblocks works not because the add on it self, it's the community who's been finding & debugging and all the crazy shit they've found within html codes

this filter also might not perfect so you can add another filter you prefer

Adblock plus sucks, they have been doing this for a while now. Regular adblock is pretty good though.

Yup, thats most likely what you have.

There's nothing wrong with adblock: remember that it works with a list of sites to block and obviously marketers will try to change domains and such often to circumvent, at most you might need to wait a few days for adblock lists to be updated.

Try adblock regular instead of plus. I actually keep both on the browser but one of them disabled on torch extensions

That doesn't make it broken
