Any G-Sync version other then the Acer one. I would like to see some competition.

I've heard bad experiences with pro players at events. Some pro players were sponsored by BenQ so their opinion is skewed but others had no monitor sponsor at all and didn't like using them.

I always laugh at the thought of "pro players" lol

And Eizo is top notch quality.

There is the Asus PG279Q still on the way! (The IPS RoG Swift) But other than that no word of any other Gsync 1440p 144Hz IPS display :/

Which is a shame because I hate the way the Acer looks, that ugly gloss finish

Yea the gloss is terrible. I will probably still get it though. Good price and they fixed the light bleed.

LCD cannot go below 30-35hz.

I hope AMD will implement a solution like Gsync, where it multiplies the fps, when it hits the lower limitation of the panel. Such a thing should be very doable on the graphics card, as it only needs 1 image vram buffer. The monitor should not even know the difference anyways, so it should not be a problem compatibility wise.

How does it do this? Interpolation?

I personally wouldn't be too bothered if G-Sync/FreeSync didn't work under 30Hz - I don't wan't my GPU ever going under that in game (ignore menu screens).

I would rather see the individual frames than interpolation, at least i know i need a newer GPU...

Gsync has built in ram, that saves the newest frame, so the Gsync module can repeat the same frame sevel times. So let's say the the lcd panel can only handle 35 hz, and your fps is 20, the module could double the frames, so you get 40 hz, but only 20fps. For a more detailed explenation, see http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Graphics-Cards/Dissecting-G-Sync-and-FreeSync-How-Technologies-Differ

AMD could implement this solution too, but by using the GFX' vram as a buffer (just like vsync does), but only using 1 frame buffer.

So another Eizo Foris monitor - will this be a target panel finally, or once again a 2nd hand, leftover tat?

For those of you wondering - both of the previous Foris monitors, were packed in chunky 80's style plastic, overhyped with a whole range of paid-for reviews, and the panels used were the leftovers deemed not good enough for their proffesional monitors - dead pixels, washed out colors, differently coloured lines across the screen and plenty of backlight bleed - while charging huge premium for being Eizo...

There's no such thing as an ultrawide 4k monitor. 3440x1440 is the largest there is so far.

Eizo mostly specializes in professional grade monitors. 14k USD is not necessarily a lot of money for such a monitor, that has the specific qualities needed by that particular market. Such a monitor is not consumers. You would probably say the same about Sony's 25" OLED monitor, that costs 26k USD. Full HD at that.

That Eizo is specifically made for air traffic control, where any dead pixels, off colour, bad viewing angle or any back light un-uniformity could make it difficult to notice certain things. I doubt an air control tower sees such a monitor as a big problem financially.

Sweet! An actual 4k Ultrawide! Very nice, but remember that that is a 105" tv! It is almost 2½ meters wide, which is insane, and weighs over 100kg! I want one now! Also it comes with 3 Displayport :o But that is a professional sign, made for 16/7 use.

That is not a TV. Its a public display. There is a difference.... like thicker, stronger glass front to protect the screen itself from morons throwing stuff at it and such...
