If you have a tablet the amazon kindle app is really good and they have a lot of free books. Amazon also has a kindle to pc app so you can read books on your computer. :D

Does not having a second parenthesis around something bother anyone else as much as it does me? (Like if this statement was missing a second side)

Read Dan Brown books, Inferno is pretty good. Also Da Vinci Code and Angles and Demons are also very good. These books are fiction but the author has done significant research in history.

I've seen the movies and I liked them, I might get them thanks

depends on how much you are into history but I've loved reading stuff from the OG historians like Plutarch and Thucydides

interesting aside: its amazing how much they knew about the weather or what food a certain man liked, his habits, interests and contents of speeches he made. but weird how they missed out on hearing about or writing about a man that could turn water into wine or heal the sick with a touch.

I started reading the Terry Pratchett disc world series, they are a parody of earth in all its historical glory. The books are laden with parodies of real earth history and culture but told with an easy to follow storyline that is entertaining and funny.   It's a combination of commentary, story, mythology, fantasy and basic humanity. You will also learn a lot about the English language as he hides a lot of etymology and puns in his books.

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

I know, I am devastated, not only for him but for what it means to the literary community. He has done so much for literacy, not only for early learners and the illiterate but for modern literacy too. + it means no more disc world. :(

Jonathan Clement's A Brief History of the Samurai is a great read. I highly recommend it if you want to educate yourself on Japan's iconic warrior class, from before the Gempei War, all the way past the Boshin War.

My dad tells me the same thing, and I hate reading lol

"It seems we living the American dream, but the people highest up got the lowest self esteem. The prettiest people do the ugliest things, for the road to riches and diamond rings."- Kanye West, "All Falls Down"
