Nvidia Users AVOID WIN 10

MahtXL

Did the upgrade, win 10 went through fine and dandy, however manual driver installs (yes fully clean installs) refuse to work and windows 10s built in driver finder fails to install every time.

Yup if you have an nvidia gpu, and ESPECIALLY if like me you run more than a single monitor, going to win 10 will literally break your pc. Save yourself the hassle and time and dont bother. Seriously just dont.

You will be stuck on generic PNP drivers and at a crappy 4:3 res, and just no. Please stay away.

Run far far away. The OS you were hoping for is in another castle.

And no drivers from nvidia themselves dont work either.

I'm running two 760s with Win10. YES I HAVE EXPERIENCED THESE BAD DRIVERS. Once you get them working. Run the Windows 10 update a couple times either today or tomorrow and you'll get the latest Nvidia drivers which are not listen on their website. They do work.

I've tested the 10240 build and used my Titan-X, it ran like a champ!  So it's possible it's just older cards maybe?

Omg launch night of a new OS and there's something wrong! Call the presses because this is un-fucking-heard of. Wait a day and it'll be fixed.

At the same time though it's something simple that should just work.

On windows 10 with a 980, only problem I've had is for some reason it won't identify my DVI monitor if I have hdmi and displayport plugged in.

I have been running insider fast track builds for months and have had no problems. Oh and they have had Windows 10 Drivers for quite a while now ;)

Finally got it working by removing everything nvidia via remove program. rebooting. enabling my gpu in devices, rebooting again, going to win update. letting it search downloading said updates. and finally rebooting one final time with all new updates installed and my gpu enabled in devices. it booted on my main screen, then my secondary booted up like normal once i was in the OS itself. A very very very very bad system, but atleast it works.

How did you enabled the GPU in devices?
