Nvidia Users AVOID WIN 10

When you first upgrade or after you do a clean install it will do an update, after that update is installed you can install your Nvidia drivers!

I first recommend installing the latest which is from June as this will also download esperience, PhysX, and the GPU drivers.  Then go ahead and run WinUpdate to get the latest Nvidia driver that are not yet put out on their website.

Did the upgrade, win 10 went through fine and dandy, however manual driver installs (yes fully clean installs) refuse to work and windows 10s built in driver finder fails to install every time.

Yup if you have an nvidia gpu, and ESPECIALLY if like me you run more than a single monitor, going to win 10 will literally break your pc. Save yourself the hassle and time and dont bother. Seriously just dont.

You will be stuck on generic PNP drivers and at a crappy 4:3 res, and just no. Please stay away.

Run far far away. The OS you were hoping for is in another castle.

And no drivers from nvidia themselves dont work either.

 

I installed win10 pro around midnight and I know when i first tried updating my gpu drivers (gtx 980 gpu) it wouldn't work, but after i restarted my pc it did.

for those having problems with window updating
geforce drivers unistall all nvidia programs then you can go here

for the update that is in windows 10 right now that causes a failed
install and problems trying to uninstall drivers all together.
if you are on pro you can defer the update but if you are on home  you have to
install this driver to stop having windows from installing a newer driver.

I used DDU to uninstall everything got an error at the end, restarted pc and then Installation worked. lol.

Dunno. i didnt code the OS. ask microsoft what bugs they let slide to meet the release date.

I just installed the drivers for my titan black and had no issues at all for Windows 10, granted I did a fresh install, but I thought it would be better for my pc

There is a new Nvidia Driver 353.62 specifically for Windows 10.  Install either download manually from geforce.com or geforce experience.

 

I already downloaded and installed it.  Thought it would be better to have it installed before the upgrade to 10.
