Best way to wipe an Android phone pre sale

So today I woke up and saw that I'd rolled over onto my cell phone, finally doing in the already hairline cracked screen.

It now has spider cracks all over the top and the glass is starting to chip. RIP.

 

My question is this;

 

What is the best way to wipe it before I sell it?

 

I know flash memory is harder to wipe than say a hard drive. If I factory reset it files are still left over, yes?

 

I guess now I really really have to cross my fingers for a OnePlus Two invite next month..

just attach it to a computer, manually delete all files, then factory reset.

no one is going to root it and disk dig on the flash memory to find your dick pics.

I'm more worried about the girls pics.

I did that once with an old drive it made me feel like I was running from the authorities.

you download bank statements on your phone?

 

it'll be fine dude. i mean, you could root and reflash it, then get a data tool and overburn every flash cell, but i think you don't need too.

just don't sell to a tech god.

hmmm try using eraser http://sourceforge.net/projects/eraser/ it cleans free sectors of the drive but I don't know if it works with flash storage like a phone's.

 

or maybe try cipher /W built into windows but it will wipe all free sectors(deleted data). But never tried it on flash storage so it might also include the phone's ROM so try it at your own risk.

 

CCleaner might also work but never tried it before since I always used cipher /W  for wiping free sectors on my drives

Or why not install a custom recovery and wipe the /data, /sdcard (which is actually internal storage on most phones), /cache and /dalvik partitions. Then after that, reinstall stock recovery.
