In every phone booth, tons of nude women pictures, I assume they are "escorts"

Why don't police take them down?

Because it's bloody difficult to enforce.

 

A lot of them fringe on legality. They offer "discrete services". You would need to prove prostitution from that.

 

A lot of them are just sex lines.

 

Also, phone boxes are barely used today. A lot have been converted into ATM Machines. They're mainly there as tourist attractions. As such, people and the police don't really give two fucks.

 

Also, we understand that people are naked under their clothes in Europe. Unlike America which tries its damned hardest to convince people they aren't.

That makes sense. The ones I saw didn't seen to be touristy. They were newer ones, not classic London phone booth.

Not illegal to sell your body as a private individual for sex in the UK. Illegal to advertise in a public.

 

Advertising in phone booths is also illegal, but it would be a massive waste of police time to chase down the thousands of solicitation services in phone boxes. They tend to turn a blind eye and only act on reports of large organised rings (pimping/owning a brothel is illegal).
