So, I was just working on my PC minding my own business and THIS HAPPENED:

post-191321-0-40119200-1437516894.png

Being my curious self, I wanted to know where this came from. I also wanted to send a message to this little f***. So I looked up the location, and IT WAS FROM CHINA!! Then I went through the laborious process of sending a message through command line in WINDOWS 7 to an IP (MICROSOFT WHY DID YOU GET RID OF MESSENGER?!?!?!?!). Anyone else had an experience like this?

“When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons, what the hell am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man who’s gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I’m gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!”

Even then, don't use it, even if its "Norton Premium" or some shit like that, Norton is a joke, just like McAfee.

1. Get rid of norton.

2. Get avast.

Avast is not any better, if anything it will bog down his system even more.

Norton is a perfectly fine anti virus, if you know how to configure it so it doesn't annoy you for every little things that nobody would care about.

It is still getting good scores in pretty much every independent anti-virus tests that matters.

honestly, can -PLEASE- everyone that moans about norton remove themselves?

YES, norton is a horrible, lagging piece of shit, and i know this.

but theres many people (including businesses) that'd rather have their machines be slower, with a hyperactive antivirus, than have the chance of something like this actually beging missed.

besides, many of the "false positives" people are always moaning about with norton are simply non-existant in the buisiness & office world. (where norton seems to target itself)

PS: can people also realise not everyone here is a gamer?

I'd also like to hear their reasoning behind their dislike for Norton, rather than just saying it because, well, everyone does.

i agree with all of them with norton being a terrible piece of shit, but it's also sill the most secure piece of shit at that.

i had a machine with avast on it, decided to do a malwarebytes scan, and avast let trough an UNGODLY amount of stuff... (mostly trojans)

So, what would you recommend? As i'm sitting here with Avast Pro ( got it free) on my desktop... Avast + an additional malwarebytes scan?

That's probably specific to your computer. The major flaw in Windows is very critical and could allow a hacker to easily control your computer just using unusual fonts to run code through websites or even documents without your permission.

honestly i'm only using malwarebytes scans from time to time.

my antivirus is in my brain. (this is a terrible idea, i dont recommend this)

but really, i had some very good experiences with the later versions of bullguard. its the protection of norton, without being that intrusive and overly attached.

I know, but still very good. The premium version has live protection to protect my malicious websites.

McAfee isn't bad... It's the one that comes with programs you download that is annoying which gives them a bad reputation. I Kindda trust my mom.. She does work for a software place that gets thousands of phone calls a day and she has a 99% customer approved rating.
