How can I disguise a link to a different one?

FineVisionz

Is it possible to make a link such as www.google.com look like www.linustechtips.com ?

I guess you could in a forum:

www.linustechtips.com

Just type the address, then add a link to the website you want.

Yes,  that works.  But I want to send a link to someone through steam/origin/skype to prank them.

You would think Ubisoft would support the Bulldozer based architectures more given their digging themed names like bulldozer, Piledriver, Steamroller and Excavator.

Then no. Unless you send them a link to a site that redirects.

Dude, if that was possible, people would spoof steam links, google links, everything to make it look legit.

However, if you own the site, you can have it redirect.

I might be wrong.

Would it be possible for me to create a program that would do this?

Not to use in Steam or Skype. They don't have that sort of functionality.

But the do have the function to send links,  I would create a program that would let me take a link and disguise it to whatever I want, then I would send the link to someone.

Okay. Then you'd send it and the other person would just receive a wall of code or the initial link.
